Savvy Wine

Nurtured by the exceptional climate and unique soil of Lake Garda's eastern hillside, Bardolio Chiaretto DOC is a delightful rosé wine made from native Veronese grapes, mainly Corvina, with hints of Rondinella and Molinara. These vines thrive on the picturesque slopes, kissed by gentle breezes from the Northeast and Southeast, growing at an elevation of 300 meters. The clayey-morainic soil, combined with meticulous vine training using the "Pergola-spalliera casarsa" method, adds to their distinctive character. The grapes, picked in mid-September at their peak ripeness, begin an exceptional winemaking journey.

This wine is a fragrant delight, evoking the color and scent of rose petals. It's skillfully crafted from the finest grapes harvested in the traditional hilly landscapes around Verona, mirroring the beauty of Lake Garda. This wine represents the epitome of rosé winemaking, using precise techniques that include a brief maceration of the grape skins. These methods enhance its natural, graceful, yet assertive aromas, resulting in a wine that elegantly captures the region's terroir and craftsmanship.

Production Technique

The vinification process includes de-stemming, gentle crushing, and brief skin contact, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 18°C. Maturation transpires for 2 months in stainless steel tanks, culminating in an additional 2 months of bottle aging. The result is a pale salmon-colored wine, enticingly fresh and fruity on the nose, offering aromas of white peaches, red cherries, hints of violet, and vanilla. On the palate, it elegantly unfolds with a light, dry, and finely refined character. Bardolio Chiaretto DOC is best savored young, within 1 to 2 years, celebrating the vibrancy and terroir of Lake Garda's eastern hills in every sip.
