Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this exquisite wine is obtained from Barbera grapes produced in the various vineyards located in Monforte d'Alba, specifically in the Ornati area. The journey of crafting this exceptional wine begins with rigorous vineyard management practices. The vines are strategically planted at a density of 5000 plants per hectare, fostering optimal fruit development. Situated at an elevation of 350 to 400 meters above sea level, the vineyard enjoys superb sun exposure, facing east-southwest, which plays a pivotal role in achieving balanced ripening of the grapes. Come harvest time, a labor of love ensues as grapes are meticulously handpicked into small perforated baskets, ensuring the preservation of their integrity from vine to bottle.
Production Technique
After destemming, the grapes undergo maceration with skins, spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts, and careful temperature control. No sulphites are used. Refinement: Bottled at 15°C to mature gracefully.
